Sonny Salcedo Sanchez

DOVER - Sonny Salcedo Sanchez, First class Petty Officer-Navy aka 'Daddy Buddha', was reunited with his maker on March 25th, 2016. He was born September 6, 1946 to the late Isabelita Salcedo and Jose` Sanchez. Mr. Sanchez was a retired US Navy man and served from October 1964 to June 1985, leaving with an honorable discharge. During his service he received several awards and commendations including: National defense service medal, Vietnam service medal, Vietnam campaign medal, Combat action ribbon, Meritoruous armed forces expeditionary medal, Navy unit commendation, Battle efficiency award, and three good conduct awards. He was a Vietnam Veteran. Sonny is survived by his wife, Evangeline Noquez Sanchez of 47 years. He is also survived by his four children, Mikee Sanchez, of Camden, Joyce Sanchez, Carl Sanchez, and Angelo Sanchez, all of Dover. Services were held, with honors at Torbert Funeral Chapel Tuesday March 29, 2016. Today, May 3rd marks his 40th day in heaven. You will always be missed, never forgotten and always loved.
