Smith was born September 23, 1963, at Kent General Hospital to the late Smith and Winifred Seeney. He passed away surrounded by loved ones on January 30, 2024.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator for many local companies. His final job was at Royal Prime Steakhouse. He was a fan of classic rock, working on cars, and wrestling. He loved his dogs and his two special cats, Grey and Orangey.
He was preceded in death by his father, Smith Seeney Sr.; his brother, Michael "Mikey" Ridgway; and his daughters, Heather, and Crystal Seeney.
He is survived by his mother, Winifred Seeney; daughters, Amber (David) Smith and Elizabeth; two bonus children, Heather Helmer and David "DJ" Devincentis; three sisters, Margaret "Sissy" Seeney (Johnny), Marie Ridgway and Lillian (Sam) Freeman; one brother, Anthony "Tony" Ridgway; one granddaughter, Annaliece Seeney; along with seven bonus grandchildren. He leaves behind special friends, Brett Durham and Diane Hughes; two cousins that were like sisters, Shallie Sudler and Lisa Mosely; along with a host of family and friends. Smith also leaves behind a very special friend, Rhonda Saatman.
Smithy requested that everyone come in causal clothing.
A viewing will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Friday, February 9th, 2024, at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, Delaware.
Funeral services will be held 12:00pm, Saturday, February 10th, 2024, at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, Delaware.
A burial will occur at Immanuel Union United Methodist Cemetery, Cheswold, Delaware.
