Sipple: Only the wealthy can run for office

I can honestly say that the amount of money raised does not affect my vote (“Question of the Week: How do campaign finance reports impact your voting decisions?”).
But what is sad is that there are citizens who would make great politicians but do not have the connections to raise the millions needed to run a campaign.
As it is now, only the rich can afford to run.
