Shooting at Dover hotel leaves woman wounded
DOVER — A 20-year-old Pennsylvania woman was shot at a hotel late Friday, Dover Police said.
According to spokesman Master Cpl. Ryan Schmid, the Cheltenham resident was wounded after a suspect began shooting for unknown reasons during a large party at the Wyndham Garden Hotel. Police were called to the scene at approximately 10:58 p.m.
The woman sustained gunshot wounds to her upper and lower body. She was transported to Bayhealth Kent Camput for additional treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
Police said the described as a male wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt at this time.
This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at 302-736-7130. Callers may remain anonymous.
