MAGNOLIA - Shirley D. Baumgartner-Farley, of Magnolia, died Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. She was 63. Mrs. Farley was born April 27, 1946, in Sandusky, Ohio, to the late Robert and Martha Dunham. Mrs. Farley was a manager of food services in the Capitol School District mostly at William Henry Middle School. Mrs. Farley was a member of the Christ Memorial Baptist Church in Dover. She enjoyed crocheting and church activities. Mrs. Farley was preceded in death by her first husband, Bernd Baumgartner in 1989; and second husband, Jack Farley in 2007. She is survived by her son, Jason Baumgartner and his wife Gina of Magnolia; daughter, Robin Purcell and her husband Glenn of Douglasville, Ga.; a sister, Gaye Martin of Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Corban and Jasper Baumgartner and Connor Purcell; also surviving are Melissa Holland and her husband Dudley of Magnolia and their two children, Quinn and Leon. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 23, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Dover. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Delaware Hospice, 911 S. Dupont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
