Sheila was born on November 9th, 1936, to Mildred and Leon Fetter of Haddonfield, New Jersey. She was the devoted wife of Dr. Morris L. Turner, who preceded her in death in 2005. She is survived by her identical twin sister, Sylvia Bowman (Bill) of Merritt Island, Florida, son Lee Turner (Joan) of Felton, Delaware, daughter Jan Clapp (Dave) of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, and daughter Marcelle Kenney (Dan) of Crofton, Maryland. She is also survived by her five grandchildren Alex Leroy, Alden Clapp, Paige Kenney, Payton Kenney, Patrick Kenney, and great-grandchild Eliana Mealey.
Sheila was originally from Haddonfield, New Jersey, where she attended Collingswood High School. She graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Home Economics and taught briefly in the Camden, New Jersey area. Later, she assumed the duties of office manager at her husband's dental practice in Camden, Delaware until retirement. After retiring, she traveled extensively with her husband and friends and volunteered at Avenue United Methodist Church of which she was a member. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild.
A visitation will be held on August 8, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 at Torbert Funeral Chapel, located at 1145 East Lebanon Road, Dover Delaware, 19901. Following the visitation, the internment will take place at Barrett's Chapel Cemetery.
