MILFORD - On December 2, 2021 Sharon Ann Winckoski, while surrounded by her loved ones, peacefully went home to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on July 22, 1967 in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. to the late Joseph and Dorothy Vishnefski.
Sharon grew up in Glen Lyon, Pa. and graduated from John S. Fine High School, class of 1985.
She knew that she wanted to help others and furthered her education at College Misericordia, receiving a Bachelors' of Science in Occupational Therapy.
Mrs. Winckoski worked at Genesis Healthcare – Milford Center as an Occupational Therapist until recently.
She was a member of American Occupational Therapist Association (A.O.T.A.).
Sharon loved cooking and baking, Mickey Mouse and visiting Disney, and watching her favorite baseball team, the Washington Nationals.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Carl Winckoski. Sharon is also survived by her children, Sarah Reitzel, Lindsay Monahan and her husband Peter, and Zachary Winckoski and his fiancé Karley Horsman; her brothers, Jackie Vishnefski and his wife Diane, Thomas Vishnefski and his wife Robin, and Mark Vishnefski and his wife Melina; and her grand dogs, Kalua and Alani.
The family will receive visitors at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave., Milford, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021, with a funeral service at 1 p.m.
Interment is Milford Community Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to, Gift of Life, 401 North 3rd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123.
