Search warrant brings two arrests in Dover

DOVER — Two Dover residents were charged with weapon and drug-dealing offenses following a search warrant Tuesday, authorities said.

Amir Lloyd, 21, and Jada Wright, 22, were taken into custody without incident after the search of an apartment in the 400 block of North DuPont Highway, Dover police said.

Spokesman Master Cpl. Ryan Schmid said that, during the search, officers located 7.6 pounds of marijuana, 18 doses of MDMA and a 9 mm handgun.

Mr. Lloyd was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited (two counts), possession of a destructive weapon, possession with intent to deliver marijuana in a Tier 2 quantity, possession of marijuana in a Tier 2 quantity, possession of MDMA in a Tier 1 quantity and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution, Georgetown, on $32,600 cash bail.

Ms. Wright was charged with maintaining a drug property and released on an own-recognizance bond.
