ROCK HALL, Md. - Scott H. VanSant, of Rock Hall, died on Sept. 27, 2009, at Chester River Hospital Center. He was 95. He is survived by a daughter, Joyce A. Gagalski of Rock Hall; a son, Norman Lyn VanSant of Rock Hall; seven grandchildren, Bartus and Jeffrey Collyer, Kristin Osborn, Craig Gagalski, Tiffani Hague, Camee Hurd, and Shawn VanSant; also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 2, at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, Chestertown, where friends and family may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 1. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Rock Hall Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 577, Rock Hall, MD 21661.
