I read a recent letter by a Mr. William Faust, titled “Study funds could have been used better by Dover.”
Mr. Faust is right on point with his letter regarding $50,000 being spent on a third-party investigation that city residents are not being allowed to review. I find it ludicrous. If the citizens paid for this investigation out of taxpayer dollars, we should be able to review every nook and cranny of the findings and recommendations in it.
The cat is already out of the bag that the majority of Dover police officers want new leaders at the helm of the department. A vote of no confidence was taken last year, and 93% have no trust in their leader.
By withholding the full report, it appears to be just another sign of City Council attempting to hide something.
