Schuster joins Calafiura on Rotary Club of Salisbury leadership team

Kurt Schuster, a 16-year member of the Rotary Club of Salisbury, was recently nominated and approved by the club as its Vice President Elect for the 2016/2017 year.

Schuster, 63, is a graduate of Ohio State University and retired from a 30 year career selling and marketing animal health products.  He has had held a number of committee leadership roles during his decade and a half in Rotary including Chairman of the club’s Special Events Committee and its Pig Picken Committee.  He has also served multiple two year terms on the Rotary Club of Salisbury’s Board of Directors and on its Foundation Board.  He’s also active in the Salisbury Community Gardens project.

Schuster has been a resident of the Eastern Shore since 1975.  He and wife Patti are the parents of two grown children, Bryan and Michael.

He and President-elect Marie Calafiura will assume their club leadership roles in July of this year.

Annually, The Rotary Club of Salisbury channels over $30,000 back into our community through the support of agencies and causes including: Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, scholarships for local high school and college students, American Red Cross, Fruitland Fire Department, Christian Shelter, Wicomico County third grade dictionaries, DOPE Project, RYLA, Easter Seals Camp Fairlee, MAC, Inc., Meals on Wheels, Parsons Home, Polio Eradication (Global), Fruitland Community Center, HALO, Destination Imagination, Wicomico County Library and the construction of wheel chair ramps.
