Jane Brady, thank you so much for writing the Opinion about the state legislature (“General Assembly is not consumer-friendly”).
I especially liked the section where you pointed out the problems with Delaware students’ poor performance in reading and math.
It was a joy to read what Mississippi did to straighten out inadequate reading skills. To boot, its solution was easy to do. So, why can’t Delaware propose a referendum to do the same?
Like you said, “You can’t learn if you can’t read.”
