Sarah L. Napolitano

Sarah L. Napolitano, 83 SMYRNA - Sarah L. Napolitano, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2010, in Bayhealth Medical Center, Dover. She was 83. She was born in Dunmore, Pa., the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret DeAngelo. She worked in the clothing industry for many years, and moved with her family to Smyrna in 1989. She enjoyed camping, roller skating, and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lauren Napolitano. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Domnick J. Napolitao; two sons, Domnick S. Napolitano and wife, Naomi of Smyrna, and James C. Napolitano of Felton; two grandchildren, Mark Napolitano of Cape Cod, Mass. and Leslie Rodriguez and husband, Robert of St. Georges; four great-grandchildren, Gabrielle, Brandyn, Kaitlyn, and Giovanna; two sisters-in-law, Lena DeAngelo and Gina DeAngelo; and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 1 p.m. Saturday, February 20, at St. Polycarp Catholic Church, Ransom Lane and South St., Smyrna. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna. Burial will be privately held in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 200 Continental Dr., Ste. 101, Newark, DE 19713.
