Sara W. Rogers, 80
MILFORD - Sara W. Rogers, passed away Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008, in Bayhealth at Milford Memorial Hospital. She was 80. Sara was born in Greenwood, daughter of the late Montilles and Anna (Wharton) Webb. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Calvary U.M. Church in Milford. Sara's husband, Ernest L. Rogers Sr., preceded her in death in 1995. She is survived by a son, Ernest L. Jr.; a granddaughter, whom she considered a daughter, Tammie Nichols; two sisters, Melba Webb and Phyllis Downes, all of Greenwood; many loving nieces and nephews; two great-nephews; two granddaughters, Amy Cooper and Kimberly Wescott; and two great-granddaughters, Cady Cooper and her father Jimmy Cooper, and Amber Walbert. A funeral service was 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17 in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 N.W. Front Street, Milford. Burial was in Milford Community Cemetery, Milford. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Salisbury Zoological Park, 755 S. Park Drive, Salisbury, MD 21801.
