Sara Etta Rexrode, 97 FREDERICA - Sara Etta Rexrode, 97, formerly of Frederica, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009, at the Milford Center, Genesis Eldercare. Ms. Rexrode was born in Dry Fork, W.Va., the daughter of the late Sampson and Martha Collins. She was a homemaker. Sara loved making quilts, embroidery and painting. She enjoyed life, her children and her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, David C. Rexrode in 2005 and Julian M. Rexrode, who died the same day as his mother; and three granddaughters, Diane Effinger Phillips, Brenda Rexrode, and Iona Lucy Giese. She is survived by two daughters, Lucy Effinger - Warns of Harrington, and Iona Connelly of Bensalem, Pa.; one son, Gene Rexrode of Lumberton, N.C.; a brother, Emmett Collins of Boiling Springs, Pa.; a daughter-in-law, Mabel "Dolly" Rexrode of Milford; 24 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 5, at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford, where friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Burial will be in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.
