We need to have undercover members of law enforcement roaming in schools, in Division of Motor Vehicles buildings and in other areas that need security. Whether they are police or deputies of sheriff’s departments is up to the people who know best.
There would be rotating half-shifts, with guards switching buildings as they go. The area they are watching would be informed of their comings and goings. They would be armed and have radio contact.
This would create invisible security. You would only have one guard at a time, and they would spend an hour in the building before they went on to the next one.
The purpose is to blend and make it look as if there is no security.
