WILMINGTON — Sandy Taccone, Blue Blaze Associates' principal and CEO, will be honored by Delaware Today and the Delaware Business Times as one of the top women in business for 2021 on Dec. 9 at the Chase Center on the Riverfront.

Ms. Taccone and her wife, Wendy Scott, are co-founders and owners of Blue Blaze Associates, a full-service marketing and design agency.

In 2018, Ms. Taccone was selected as the only Delawarean in the greater Philadelphia region for the prestigious Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program. And last year, Blue Blaze was named to the Philadelphia100, an annual list of the region’s fastest-growing, privately held companies. It was the first time Blue Blaze had been selected for the recognition, and it was the only Delaware-based company represented on the 2020 list.

Since founding Blue Blaze Associates 20 years ago, Ms. Taccone has grown a social-minded, inclusive business by cultivating a team of professionals who share her passion for powerful brand storytelling that connects with key audiences to drive action and engagement. Her reputation for combining creativity, marketing strategy and technical expertise is grounded in a firm foundation of integrity, collaboration and delivering measurable results for Blue Blaze clients.

“It is a tremendous honor to be chosen by Delaware Today and Delaware Business Times for this recognition and to be included among this impressive group of noteworthy women,” said Ms. Taccone. “I’m extremely proud of our team and the work we do, helping other businesses and nonprofits achieve their goals. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, we have stayed the course and are fortunate to work with some amazing clients, who are changing the world in so many positive ways.”

Under Ms. Taccone’s leadership, Blue Blaze has received numerous accolades and international awards for branding, websites, marketing strategy, fundraising campaigns and graphic design. Delaware-based clients of Blue Blaze have included the Delaware Museum of Natural History, the University of Delaware, Delaware State University, the Delaware Division of the Arts, the New Castle County Department of Land Use, Delaware Wild Lands, Info Solutions, Versogen, BrightBloom Centers and more.

Ms. Taccone gives back to the community with significant pro bono work. For instance, Blue Blaze produces "Conversations with Women Making a Difference," an event series featuring inspirational women who are leading change and breaking boundaries. All Blue Blaze work for this award-winning series is done pro bono and has raised thousands of dollars for local nonprofits.

During her career, Ms. Taccone has held various leadership roles in the business world, from publishing and design agencies to Fortune 100 multinational corporations, including as vice president at JPMorgan Chase and as art director for the Corporate Internet Group.
