FELTON - Sandra Lee Glanden Furr passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, December 24, 2023.
Sandy was born in Milford, DE, to the late Ira, Jr. and Betty (Garey) Glanden. She worked as a self-employed beautician for many years.
Sandy enjoyed watching NASCAR, Green Bay Packers, Philadelphia Eagles, and was passionate about the Philadelphia Phillies. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, fishing, doing puzzles, bird watching, making flower arrangements, and going to the slots with her brother.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her son, Anthony (Tony) Wade Brown; a great granddaughter, Adalynn Rains; and her companion of 20 years, Etzel Darling.
She is survived by her daughter, Tangey (Dale) Rains; her brother, Garey (Lynn) Glanden; her grandsons, Dale Lee (Corrine), Cody (Brooke), Trevor, Austin (Lexi), Bryce, and Montana (Destinie); her nieces, Kari-Lynn and Corinne Glanden; six great grandchildren, Paisley, Caden, Blakely, Waylon, Cashton, and Avery Rains; and one great nephew, Cameron.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024, at 2:00pm at Hopkins Cemetery in Felton. Arrangements are in the care of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Felton.
The family would like to thank Delaware Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made in Sandy's name to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriot's Way, Milford, DE 19963.
