Samuel Joe Colvin Jr.

MILFORD - Samuel Joe Colvin Jr., of Milford, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010. at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. He was 50. He was born in Milford, the son of Barbara (King) Colvin of Milford and the late Samuel J. Colvin. He was a painter. He enjoyed sports, especially watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, his favorite football team. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, Sam Colvin Evans, Melanie Colvin Evans and Jason Colvin Evans, all of Harrington; two sisters, Linda Vincent and Patricia Colvin Bevel; and five grandchildren. Funeral Services will be noon, Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010, in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Interment will be in Bloomery Cemetery, Federalsburg, Md. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
