Get your “Yoga” on with Carol Jenkins-Pike of Soul Yoga, who will be doing her “Wild Thing” (animal themed yoga) for children and adults.
Bring your mats and do yoga in the Zoo.

Showcase of Christian Authors Banquet is Saturday
The Showcase of Christian Authors Banquet will bring six writers to the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center on Saturday.
Doors open at 5 p.m., and the event begins at 6 p.m. Attendees can enjoy a buffet dinner, meet six Christian authors, hear a seven minute book summary and win great door prizes.

Tickets on sale for Fun Day at Jolly Roger
Tickets are now on sale for the MAC Inc. Fun Day at the Jolly Roger Amusement Park in Ocean City. The Fun Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 25.
Tickets are $25 and are on sale in advance only. The Fun Day will be held rain or shine. Tickets include unlimited Splash Mountain from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; amusement rides from 2-6 p.m. (limit two rides on the roller coaster and excluding Speedworld and Extreme Zip Line); and unlimited golf at either course from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Proceeds will be used to provide scholarships to MAC’s Richard A. Henson Wellness Center. MAC Inc., the Area Agency on Aging, is a nonprofit organization.
Summer Ballroom Dance set for July 11
Ballroom Made Simple dance instruction in Salisbury will host a "Caribbean Nights" summer Ballroom, Latin & Swing Dance party on Saturday, July 11, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Tropical attire is welcome.
The dance event is open to the public and will be held in the Bradford Activity Room of the Salisbury Wicomico Senior Services Building, 909 Progress Circle in Salisbury (behind the Holly Center).
Admission is $10 per person. Doors open at 7 p.m. with a 30-minute beginner group “Merengue” lesson with instructor Pam Wood. Light refreshments available.

Burak exhibit now at SU Guerrieri University Center
The Guerrieri University Center Art Space hosts the exhibit “Narrative in a Frame” by Salisbury University senior Megan Burak through June 30.
The Pittsburgh native, who moved to Maryland’s Eastern Shore at age 5, is majoring in art with a concentration in two-dimensional art. Working mostly in oil, she describes herself as a contemporary realist painter. She uses herself as the model for most of her paintings, often fully or partially covering her face.

SU Gallery hosting Erik White works
Salisbury University Art Galleries hosts a solo exhibit by 2014 Art War competition winner Erik White at its Downtown Campus through July 3.
A reception is 5 to 7 p.m. June 19 during the Salisbury Arts & Entertainment District’s monthly 3rd Friday celebration.
“Evil Paradise” features oil paintings representing White’s experiences traveling in the United States. Inspired by the work of Jean Michel Basquiat, he seeks to raise questions about societal norms while leaving the interpretation up to the viewer.
Sponsored by SU Art Galleries, admission is free and the public is invited.
