The Salisbury Walk to Defeat ALS will be held Oct. 18 from noon to 3 p.m. at Winter Place Park in Salisbury.
The opening ceremony will be 1 p.m.
According to the sponsors, some walk for the loved one in the wheelchair beside them, some walk to honor a loved one’s memory, some walk to support a neighbor or a co-worker, but all “Walk to Defeat ALS.”
The Walk to Defeat ALS is the ALS Association’s biggest community event and the largest source of funds to provide free care services to people living with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
The fundraising efforts will better the lives of ALS patients living and honor those that have passed away.
