On July 14, 2025, Salisbury City Council passed Resolution 3413 empowering trash weary residents to help tackle the never-ending accumulation of litter one stretch of roadway at a time.

The Adopt-A-Road resolution paved the way for the city to organize a framework for community volunteers to pitch in and pick up litter and recyclables, enhancing the landscape and helping prevent debris from washing into area waterways.
