About 60 volunteers from Wicomico Presbyterian Church, along with friends from Salisbury Christian School and ReBirth Inc. joined together with Rise Against Hunger (RAH) on Sunday afternoon November 9th to package 10,000 meals, contributing in a small way toward addressing food insecurity with their global neighbors. Those meals, along with others from the region, will be shipped overseas to RAH, partners to address food insecurity in impoverished communities or in regions affected by disaster, according to Jim Eaton, chair of the church’s Mission & Outreach Committee, who coordinated the RAH event.
