Salisbury Christian School’s season of success came to a fitting end with a championship win over Worcester Prep.

Entering the championship game with a conference record of 9-1, the SCS varsity men’s soccer team was ready to challenge No. 2 seed Worcester Preparatory School (8-1-1).

The SCS Jaguars won the game 3-1 and were named Eastern Shore Independent Athletic Conference Champions for the second time in three years.

To secure this successful ending, Ryan Spadin scored two goals, David Lagueux scored one, and goalkeeper Adam Prouse stopped six shots on goal.

SCS led 2-0 at halftime, then Worcester Prep scored 15 minutes into the second half.  SCS ended the game with a third goal in the final 7 minutes.

In their journey to the championship, the Jaguars defeated Delmarva Christian High School in the semi-finals and Worcester Prep beat Holly Grove Christian School.

“Getting to the championship game isn’t an easy path and we had to play some tough opponents along the way, but our boys got there by being disciplined, prepared, and committed athletes,” says SCS Athletic Director Gene Hawke. “We’re proud.”
