Sadie Wood

FELTON - Sadie Wood of Felton, formally of Sandlick and Ravencliff, W.Va. passed away Aug. 19, 2017 following a long illness. She was born in Kilnary, W.Va. to the late John B. and Mary Perry.
Sadie was a former cook at the John McGraw and Glen Rogers schools. After leaving the schools, she became a homemaker. She moved to Delaware in 1970 where she raised her youngest daughter and grandson.
Sadie was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Thurman Wood Sr. in 1968; a daughter, Mary Carter in 2001; a granddaughter, Tina Dickens Ford in 2007; two sisters, Virginia (Jim) Wood, Elizabeth (Bill) Morrison; and a brother, Tony Perry.
She is survived by her daughters, Sue Dickens (Charles) of Arnett, WVa., Becky Perrine (Bob) of Marydel; and a son, Albert Thurman Wood Jr. (Judy) of Felton. She has five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Grave side services will be held at Mount Tabor Davidson Addition Cemetery at the convenience of the family at a later date.
