DOVER - Ryan Douglas Murphy of Dover, was called to his heavenly home on Wednesday, March 9, 2016. He is survived by his parents, Richard and Karen Murphy; and brother, Nicholas Adam Murphy. Ryan was a mechanic, sharing his talent with anyone who needed it. Incredibly caring, Ryan was available at a moment's notice to help in any situation. He was very proud of his past service as a volunteer fireman. His smile warmed every room and he insisted laughter fill the room as well. Ryan was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Dover. He loved fishing in the Chesapeake Bay with friends and family. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Alice R. & Milton W. Habicht; as well as paternal grandparents, Daniel R. & Anna E. Whitlock. Ryan was predeceased by his beloved dog, James. Viewing will be Sunday, March 13, 2016 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 113 Lotus St., Dover, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Viewing again on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Worship Service at 11:30 a.m. Luncheon immediately following in church basement. Burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to a memorial fund in his memory through St. John's Lutheran Church.
