Ruth Sarah Bessix, 81
DOVER - Ruth Sarah Bessix, of Dover, died Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009, at home. She was 81. Mrs. Bessix was born in Delaware on Dec. 30, 1927, to the late Herman Anderson and Elizabeth Handy Anderson. She and her late husband were foster parents in Delaware. Mrs. Bessix was preceded in death by her husband, Linzy Bessix in 1993. She is survived by her two daughters, Wanda Bordley and her husband Dennis of Dover, and Ebony Bessix of Smyrna. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt. 10), Dover. Friends may call two hours prior. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
