Ruth M. Wintjen MILFORD - Ruth M. Wintjen, 74, of Kenneth City, Fla., formerly of Milford, Del., died Thursday June 17, 2010 in St. Petersburg, Fla., Ruth was born in Tampa, Fla., the daughter of the late Francis and Ruth Schnippert. Ruth grew up in Daytona Beach, Fla. and moved to Delaware where she lived from 1958 to 2004. She was a member of Reformation Lutheran Church, Milford, a Pocahontas member of the Improved Order of Red Men, Ionie Council #13 and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Bethlehem Chapter 169. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years George V. Wintjen in 2002. She is survived by two daughters, Jennifer M. Miller, of Milford; and Peggy L. Wright and her husband Ron, of Clearwater, Fla.; and a grandson Alexander W. Ingram, of Milford. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at the Reformation Lutheran Church, 613 Lakeview Avenue, Milford. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Reformation Lutheran Church, 613 Lakeview Avenue, Milford, DE 19963. Arr. by Lofland Funeral Home, Milford.
