MILLSBORO - Ruth M. Shockley, passed away on Friday, Aug. 31, 2012 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, MD. She was born in Frankford, Del. on September 19, 1943, daughter of the late William and Clara (Steele) Hammond. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Daniel W. Shockley in 1999. She is survived by two sons, Daniel W. Shockley, Jr. and John A. Shockley; a daughter, Donna Waller; her very dear friend, Ernest Marvel; and two grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012 at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Rd., Millsboro, DE. Interment will be private.
