Ruth F. Ferguson, 90 FELTON - Ruth F. Ferguson, age 90, of Felton, passed away Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010. Ruth was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., daughter of the late William and Lillian (Van Riper) Young. She was a homemaker and enjoyed abstract oil painting and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by a son, Robert; and her six siblings, William, Henry, Harold, Madeline, Charlotte and Ethel; a step-son, Darryl; and nephew, Victor. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Donald Ferguson; five children, Virginia and Eileen, both of Wyoming, Dianne and Ruth, both of Camden, and John, of Hartly; 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; six step-children, Donna of Lott, Texas, Denice of Middletown, Diane of Elkhart, Texas, Dorothy of Middletown, David of North East, Md., and William of West Chester, Pa. She is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews and a host of extended family. A funeral service will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 27, in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Main Street, Felton, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica. Flowers are accepted or contributions can be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
