Ruth Elizabeth Kent

HARTLY - Ruth Elizabeth Kent "Boots" passed away, Wednesday, Jul. 19, 2017 at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford.
Mrs. Kent was born Jul. 19, 1928, in Aldan, Pa. to the late Elmer A. Beyer, Sr. and Ruth M. Shannon Beyer. Moved to Dover in 1995 from Upper Providence, Pa.
She worked for Clifton Precision in Clifton Heights manufacturing helicopters instrument panels. Mrs. Kent had also worked for Keeler Instruments repairing eye surgery and medical instruments. She enjoyed games especially crossword puzzles, knitting and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, William G. Kent; siblings, Elmer A. Beyer, Jr., Anna, Dorothy, William, David and John.
She is survived by her son, Carl B. Kent (Paulette) of Marydel; sister, Marjorie Tuxward of Marydel; sister-in-laws, Alberta Beyer of Yuma, Ariz. and Caroline Beyer of Harrington; grandchildren, William L. Kent (Rachel), Matthew M. Kent (Renee), Amanda M. Kent Contreras (Antonio); great-grandchildren, Colin, Tyler, Shelby, Noah, John, Chelsea (Jake), Brandon, Alek, Arynne, Anna, Madeleine, William and Elena; great-great-granddaughters, Loralei and Quinn.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
