Ruth Ann Brown

SEAFORD - Ruth Ann Brown of Seaford passed away on Friday, Aug. 2, 2013 at Milford Hospice House. She was born in Pennsville, N.J., Sept. 28, 1937, the daughter of the late William Powers. She was a CNA at Cheer of Seaford and in Georgetown. She attended Bethel Worship Center, the Seaford Senior Center, where she was a member of the their Red Hat Club. She played the organ at several local churches and enjoyed collecting dolls. She is survived by her husband of forty-seven years, Nelson T. Brown; three sons, Bill Brown of Laurel, Del., Peter Brown (Vickie) of Newport News, Va., David Brown (Melissa) of Laurel, Del.; and two grandsons, Robert Brown and Christopher Brown both of Seaford, Del. Funeral services will be held at Bethel Worship Center on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2013 with Rev. Joe Legates officiating. Interment will follow at Bloomery Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
