LAUREL - Russell Edward Jackson, age 72, of Laurel, passed away on Oct. 31, 2010, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford. He was preceded in death by his parents, Garland and Florence Jones Jackson. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann Jackson; five children, Darlene Burns and husband Lawrence, Linda Whitelock, Michael Russell Jackson and wife Lisa, Barbara Ann Wooten and husband Billy, June Shirley Jackson and companion Larry Samuelson; one sister, Margaret Smith; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and his beloved feline friend, Blue Girl; nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends. A funeral service will be 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, at Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington Street, Millsboro, where friends may call one hour prior. Rev. Robert Hudson will officiate.
