Scarborough, Jr. 88 MILFORD - Russell D. Scarborough, Jr. 88, of Milford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 30 2015 at the Country Rest Home in Greenwood. Russell was born in Milford, the son of the late R. Dale and Lillian (Teague) Scarborough, Sr. He was a graduate of Milford High School and from Goldey - Beacom Business College. Russell was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. After the service, he worked as an accountant for much of his life. For many years, Russell enjoyed bowling and was active in the bowling leagues at Milford Bowling Lanes. He also enjoyed gardening and riding his motorcycle. He was most proud of his being an active member of the Milford Police Departments' Volunteer Senior Police Patrol. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marie E. Shockley Scarborough; four sons, Micah D. Scarborough, of Ellendale, Dean R. Scarborough and his wife Kelly, Scott L. Scarborough and Eric F. Scarborough, all of Milford; and one grandson, Austin D. Scarborough. Funeral services will be 12 p.m., Friday, July 3, 2015 at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford, where friends may call from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Burial with military honors will be in Milford Community Cemetery, N. Walnut Street, Milford.
