WILMINGTON — Ryan Rucinski played the final two rounds at six-under par to win the DSGA Delaware Open by just a shot on Tuesday afternoon.
Second-place Zac Oakley missed a birdie putt on the final hole before Rucinski could claim the victory in the 59th annual event played at Fieldstone Golf Club.
Rucinski, from Wilmington Country Club, finished with a 54-hole, nine-under par total of 204 in the two-day tourney. He carded rounds of 70 and 66 on the par-71 course on Tuesday.
Rucinski played in high school at Salesianum and then at Wilmington University.
Oakley ended up at 205 after putting up rounds of 72 and 68 on Tuesday.
Amateur Joe Tigani of Fieldstone was third at 207.
First-round leader Michael Chanaud, the defending champion, tied for seventh at 214.
