SEAFORD - Royal Glenwood Brummell Sr., died Monday, Nov. 24, 2008, in his home. He was 66. Bobby, as he was affectionately known, was born Nov. 14, 1942 in Federalsburg, Md., to the late James and Catherine Brummell. Bobby was educated in the Caroline County school system, and graduated in 1960 from Lockerman High School in Denton, Md., and later served in the United States Army from 1960 to 1963. Bobby married the former Joyce Loretta Russell on Dec. 3, 1966 and to this union were born three sons, Royal Jr., Randall, and Rodney. He was employed by E.I. DuPont Company for 32 years, which he retired due to his health. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joyce; four sons, Royal Glenwood Jr., of Seaford, Randall Gordon, of Preston, Md., Rodney Garrison, of Dover, and Diwan Paskins, of Virginia; one daughter, Angela Garvin and husband Lamone, of Bowie, Md.; two brothers, James E. Brummell, of Harmony, Md., and Fred T. Brummell, of Denton, Md.; two sisters, Alena B. Holmes, and Jeanette M. Brummell, both of Federalsburg, Md.; six grandchildren; a host of other relatives; and a devoted friend, Gardner Puckham. Funeral Services will be 12 noon Friday, Nov. 28, 2008 at Macedonia A.M.E. Church, Seaford. Viewing will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Burial will be in the Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Millsboro. Arrangements are being handled by Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Seaford.
