Dover High, the No. 10 seed, knocked off seventh-seeded Delmarva Christian, 49-37, in the second round of the DIAA girls’ basketball state tournament on Friday night.

The victory sends the Henlopen Conference champion Senators (19-4) to Monday’s state quarterfinals.

Dover will go to Wilmington to take on No. 2 Ursuline at a time TBA. The Raiders downed No. 15 Saint Mark’s, 69-38, in their second-round game on Friday.

Sara Benson netted 14 points for the Senators with Myasia Holloway adding 11. Benson netted seven of her points in the fourth quarter with Holloway hitting a big three-pointer.

Dover opened up a 23-12 halftime advantage before taking a 34-26 lead into the fourth quarter.

Mia Elliott had 10 points to lead the Royals, who finish the season 18-2.

A.I. DuPont 58, Seaford 39: The No. 12 Blue Jays trailed only 25-23 at halftime before the fifth-seeded Tigers pulled away in the second half.

Seaford, which had an 11-game winning streak snapped, finish the season at 15-7.

Junior Amira Tingle (10 rebounds) and Kimyra Cornish-Baine both scored 15 points for the Jays while Jeannica Odaris had eight rebounds and four blocked shots.

Sanford 78, Woodbridge 36: The sixth-seeded Warriors were too much for the No. 11 Blue Raiders in the second-round contest.

Henlopen South champion  finishes the season at 17-5.
