LAUREL - Rosalie R. 'Puggy' Peticca Wanner, 64, of Laurel, formerly of New Castle, died Friday, May 22, 2009, at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. She was born in Chester to Louis and Elaine Griffin Peticca. She was raised and educated in Linwood section of Lower Chichester and attended Chichester High School. She was a crossing guard for the New Castle Co. School District for 15 years before moving downstate to Laurel where she worked for Oakwood homes as an interior decorator for 10 years. For the last three years she drove a school bus for the school district in Laurel. Rose was a creative and talented person who enjoyed painting, music, and dancing. Well known for her love of animals, she would always express kindness and care for an animal in need. Lately she especially enjoyed time spent on her farm and riding her horses. Rose had a vibrant spirit and taught many lessons about being kind to people, animals, and to the earth. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Harry W. Warner; one daughter, Jenny Wanner Casper of Newark; one son. Harry W. Wanner of Georgetown; and two brothers, Louis and Anthony Peticca, both of Oxford, Pa. Her funeral service and burial will be private. Arrangements by Ward Funeral Home, Linwood, Pa.
