Ronald S. McQuade, 67 FELTON - Ronald S. McQuade, 67, of Felton, died peacefully in the company of his loved ones on May 18, 2010. Born in Athol, Mass., he was the son of the late Stanley and Winifred Jean McQuade. Ron had served honorably in multiple branches of the U.S. Armed Forces and was a veteran of the Vietnam war. He was the founder and owner of Coastal Security Agency and had over 30 years of experience in Law Enforcement and the security field. Ron had been a police officer at Municipal Police Departments in Delaware, State Investigator for Motor Fuel Tax, CCSO for the J.P. Courts, and had also been a supervisor for the J.P. Courts with Wackenhut Security. He was a faithful Christian, a loving husband, father, grandfather, employer, and friend. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. Besides his parents, Ron is also predeceased by two daughters, Ronna Lee and Patricia. He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Ann McQuade of Felton; three daughters, Marie Criner, of Oklahoma, Cathleen De France of Smyrna, and Shelly Spradlin of Christiansburg, Va.; two sons, Ronald McQuade Jr. of Greenfield, Mass., and Walter Marhefka Jr. of Wilmington; one brother, Michael McQuade; 22 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Friends may call Tuesday, May 25, 2010, starting 11 a.m. at the funeral home of Michael J. Ambruso where services will follow at noon. Interment will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro. Donations in his memory may be sent to The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation 26 Broadway, 14th Floor - New York, NY 10004.
