Ronald Richard Jordan

MILTON - Ronald Richard Jordan, of Milton, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, at home. He was 61. Ronald was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and moved to Hackettstown when he was 12 years old. Attended Hackettstown School where he graduated. He then moved to New Orleans where he owned a taxi service. Years later he moved with his sister, Wendy and family to Milton. He then attended Del. Tech in Georgetown to become an X-ray technician. When he graduated he obtained a career in the Radiology Dept. as an x-ray tech for approximately 25 years at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. He bought a home in Quakertown near Lewes, soon after he refurbished his home there, he sold his home and moved to Milton, were he resided until his unfortunate death. Ron's favorite things to do were to frequent the casino tables, horse racing track, the stock market but most of all his favorite was a good debate. Ron was loved by his co-workers, family and friends. He will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Jordan and Phyllis Jordan Moss. He is survived by his step-mother, Lily Mae Jordan of Hackettstown, N.J.; sister, Wendy Rockle/Falco of Wilmington; brother-in-law, Joseph F. Falco of Wilmington; niece, Janet Mae Pond of Milton; nephews, John Adam Rockle, Jr. of Milton, Matthew Aaron Rockle, Sr. of PA; niece, Jennifer Lynn Bell; great nephews, Matthew Aaron Rockle Jr., and Richard Bell Jr.; and great-nieces, Maile Bell, Cheyenne Clarke, Autumn Rockle and Olivia Bell. A memorial service will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, at Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton, where friends may call after noon. To help defray funeral expenses, contributions may be made to the funeral home.
