WILMINGTON — Ronald McDonald House of Delaware has received $1250 from the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation.

Ronald McDonald House of Delaware will use this gift to support their meals program.

“The Ronald McDonald House provides families with all of their basic needs, including meals throughout the day. It is critical that proper nutrition be available so family members maintain their good health so that they can remain strong during a stressful time, and adequately provide the care that their child requires. We are truly grateful to the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation for their support,” Pam Cornforth, president and CEO of the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware, said in a prepared statement.

The Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation is committed to supporting families facing food insecurity across their 10- state footprint.

Established in 2001, the foundation provides financial support for programs and organizations dedicated to feeding local neighbors in the communities it serves. Since its inception, the foundation has awarded more than $15 million in grants.
