Ronald Mason Pippin passed away Monday, December 18th, 2023, at Caroline Nursing Home in Denton, MD. Ronny was born in Easton, MD on February 12th, 1944. He was the son of the late William Mason Pippin and Betty Pippin of Greensboro, MD.
Ronny was a 1962 Graduate of North Caroline High School. In 1964 he enlisted in the Army National Guard, where he served for just over 33 years.
Ronny was a Test Conductor for ILC Dover in Frederica, DE from where he retired. There, he tested space suits worn in space by the astronauts, many of whom he got to meet. He was very proud to be part of the space program.
Ronny was a member of the Greensboro Lions Club and served on the Board of Elections for Caroline County. He was a staunch Republican and patriot. He was also a huge civil war and history buff. He loved to travel and could tell you how to get anywhere. He was also kind and funny. He had the best sense of humor and was always smiling and friendly! Most of all though, Ronny loved his family. He was especially proud of his children and grandchildren.
Ronny is survived by his wife, Diane Pippin of Greensboro, MD; his daughter, Tina Shulties (Larry Conley) of Hartly, DE; his son, Jeff Pippin of Greensboro, MD; sister, Patty Brelia (Pete) of Greensboro, MD; three grandchildren, Katey Shulties (Danny Fox), Mason Shulties, and Tristan Pippin; one great grandchild, Marshall Fox; and one niece, Lauren Brelia. He was the best Dad and Pop Pop ever!
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing at 12 noon on Friday, December 22nd at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W. Sunset Ave., Greensboro, MD. Funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00. Interment with military honors will follow at Greensboro Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a Memorial Fund has been created in Ronny's memory at St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
