Ronald Guliana

DOVER - Ronald "Ron" Guliana passed away Sunday, Dec. 31, 2017 at home.
Mr. Guliana was born July 6, 1941 in New York, N.Y. to the late Thomas Guliana and Mae Leishman Guliana.
He received a scholarship to play baseball for Delaware Valley University in Doylestown, Pa. then he received his Master's Degree in Chemistry from the University of Cincinnati. Mr. Guliana worked for Isotopes, Merck, National Distillers, Glasco Smith Kline, Calgon and then in 1984 he and his wife moved to Delaware where he worked for Playtex, he also worked for LaMotte, Department of Motor Vehicle and Parsons. Mr. Guliana enjoyed, skiing, sailing, golfing at Maple Dale Country Club, fishing, hunting, cooking and played both the accordion and piano by ear.
Mr. Guliana is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dr. Barbara Kienzle Guliana of Dover; cousins, Robert Giugliano, Francis Giugliano, Paul Ivy, Mary Gilner, Pamela Narus, Monica Lichtfuss, William, Joseph and Robert Kienzle and their spouses.
A Memorial Mass will be held 12 p.m., Friday, Jan. 26, 2018 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State Street, Dover.
His body was donated to the University of Pennsylvania for research.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Holy Cross Catholic Church or a charity of your choice.
