Roberta K. Carter, 76

FELTON - Roberta K. Carter, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, in her home. She was 76. She was born Dec. 8, 1931, to the late Lester Killen and Mina Hammond. She worked at Playtex in the shipping dept. She enjoyed knitting, watching soap operas and going to the slots. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Carl Killen. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charles Carter Jr.; four sons, David R. Carter and his wife Tina, Dale R. Carter and his wife Ramona, Charles A. Carter, and Scott D. Carter; daughter, Brenda L. Carter; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brothers, Albert F. Killen, and Victor Killen; and sister, Sadie Carter. Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Main St., Felton, where friends may call after 12 p.m. Burial will be in Hopkins Cemetery, Felton.
