REHOBOTH BEACH - Ruth Roberta Pleasanton Carroll, of Rehoboth Beach, formerly of Dover, passed away on April 28, 2011. She was 81. Roberta was born Jan. 2, 1930, in Dover to the late Rowe Von and Ruth Pleasanton. She graduated from Dover High School in 1948. She married Crawford Carroll in 1949. They were divorced in 1986. Roberta was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed collecting antiques, local history and travel. Most of all she enjoyed the beach and lived in Rehoboth Beach in her final years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Rowe Von Pleasanton Jr.; and former husband, Crawford Carroll. She is survived by her three children, Crawford Carroll, II of Dover, Larry Carroll of Wilmington, and Yvonne Carroll of Hartly; and three grandchildren, Nicole Pennypacker of Camden, Lauren Carroll, and Justin Carroll of Wilmington.
