MILLSBORO - Robert "Bob" W. Apfl, of Millsboro, formerly of Eddystone, Pa., died Wednesday Oct. 22, 2008, in the Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. He was 69. Bob enjoyed boating, socializing and singing. He was a member of the "Down State Harmonizers" Barber Shop Quartet and the Long Neck United Methodist Church. Mr. Apfl was a former Master Mason and currently a member of Masonic Lodge 30 of Millville. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, Charles D. Apfl; brother, Joseph Apfl; and grandchild, Alexis Apfl. A funeral service will be noon Monday at the Chapel of Melson Funeral Services on Long Neck Road in Millsboro, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Burial will be in Conley's Chapel Cemetery near Angola. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Bob's name to the American Diabetes Assoc., 100 West 10th St., Suite 1002, Wilmington, DE 19801.
