DOVER - Robert O. Weyant, of Dover, died Monday, Oct. 26, 2009, at the Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill, Smyrna. He was 42. He was born Feb. 12, 1967, in Dover, to Thomas E. Weyant and the late Mildred Ann Purcell Weyant. Robert graduated from Caesar Rodney High School and attended Delaware Technical and Community College. He worked as a surveyor for various surveying firms until he became disabled. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Dover, and enjoyed woodworking. He was preceded in death by his mother, Millie Weyant in 2003. He is survived by his father, Thomas E. Weyant of Dover; three brothers, Michael Weyant and his wife Kathleen of Dover, Jeff Weyant and his wife Karen of Shoemakersville, Pa., and Mark Weyant and his wife Diana of Dover; two sisters, Jan Walls and her husband Dave, and Jill Usilton and her husband Ron of Camden; and foster brother, Roy Hutson and wife Tammy. He is also survived by his former wife, Carol Gondeck; stepson, Dustin Gondeck of Dover; grandson, Dylan Gondeck; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 30, at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford St., Dover, where friends may call one hour prior. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Resident's Donation Account, Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill, 100 Sunnyside Rd., Smyrna, DE 19977, in care of Karen Minner. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
