DOVER - Robert L. Terrell Sr., 79, of Dover, died Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009, in Kent General Hospital. He was born April 27, 1930, son of the late Claude W. Terrell and Ola Mae Byrd. Mr. Terrell served in the United States Air Force and retired after 20 years of dedicated service. He was a caring husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl R. Terrell; and a sister, Joann Jones of Dallas, Texas. He is survived by his children, Judith McKinney of Tennessee, Perry Terrell of Canada, Tracy Terrell of Dover, Clifford Terrell of Dover, Robert Terrell Jr. of Dover, Nicole Campbell of Dover, Derrick Terrell of Felton, Sheree Salandy of Harrington; a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews; a sister, Joyce Smith of Dallas, Texas; and two brothers, Claude Terrell of Tyler, Texas, and Charles Terrell of El Paso, Texas. Services will be noon, Monday, Sept. 14, at The Chapel on Base Housing where friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon. Burial will follow at the Veterans Cemetery in Millsboro. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Diabetes Association, 100 West 10th St., Suite 1002, Wilmington, DE 19801.
