HARTLY — Robert (Bob) Krebel passed away on Aug. 27, 2017 in the presence of his family and friends.
Bob was born in New Hampshire on Aug. 28, 1958 to the late Richard and Shirley Krebel. He grew up with his only brother and lifelong friend Rick Krebel of Maryland. They shared many joyful moments together like only brothers could and created a bond that was unique and strong. Both enjoyed playing music together. Bob played the bass.
Bob grew to be a loving and selfless man. At 20 years old he devoted his life to raising his only daughter Gina Nitsch of Dover and loved making memories with his son-in-law Mike and grandson Chase. He spent many wonderful years with the love of his life Dorothy Seeney of Hartly.
Bob was a member of the Moose Lodge in Harrington. Bob worked for Kent Construction as a carpenter, but was a real craftsman who took great pride in his work. His skills were unmatched. Bob gave everything he had to helping others, never asking for a thing in return. He would joyfully give of his time and talent. Everyone who met Bob loved him immediately. His presence was enough to brighten anyone’s day. His spirit is irreplaceable; one of a kind. A wonderful father, brother, grandfather, soul mate, and friend who will be tremendously missed.
Bob is also survived by his only son, Harley Seeney of Harrington and his soon to be born son. In addition, his memory lives on with his sister-in-law Suzanne Krebel and in the hearts of his nieces Dawn Greenly, Courtney Cox, Ashlee Krebel, and each of their children. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Susan Krebel.
A funeral service will be 3 p.m., Friday, Sept. 1, 2017 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 where there will be a viewing from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses. Online condolences may be made via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
