GEORGETOWN - Robert J. (Butch) Pepper, of Georgetown, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2011, at the Delaware Veterans Hospital, Elsmere. He was 57. Butch was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, the son of Shirley Rogers Pepper of Georgetown and the late James Pepper. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Paralyzed Veterans Association. He participated in Wheelchair races. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Keith Pepper. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister, Colleen L. Pepper of Ashland, Ohio; a brother, Darryl Pepper and his wife Kathie of Georgetown; and a niece, Shana Pepper. A memorial service will be 1 p.m., Friday, May 13, 2011, at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro. Contributions may be made to: American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 163, Salisbury, MD 21803. Arrangements handled by Short Funeral Services, Georgetown.
